Sanctuary — The Paris Apartment That Needed an Owl
In a Haussmann apartment in Paris, the living room was too perfect. Too open. Too much marble. It needed something to turn its back on the view. That was Noctua.
왜 이 공간인가
A sanctuary is not a style. It is a refusal to be seen. In grand Parisian apartments with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city, sculptural furniture must create a private world within the world.
The Noctua Owl Chair does this with its 180° wing. It is not a chair that faces the room. It is a chair that turns away from it. A reading nook that is also a retreat.
We place it here because pink faux fur in a Haussmann interior is not cute. It is defiance. Soft against stone, organic against perfect.
디자인 원칙
Scale with intention. Let one sculptural piece anchor each room. Keep surrounding elements minimal — the furniture IS the architecture.
자주 묻는 질문
- What kind of chair suits a Haussmann apartment in Paris?
- A sculptural armchair with a high enclosing back. In a Haussmann interior with floor-to-ceiling windows, marble and mouldings, the Noctua Owl Chair's 180° wing creates a private reading nook inside an otherwise open, formal room.
- Does a pink faux fur armchair work in a classical interior?
- Yes — as contrast, not decoration. Pink faux fur against stone, plaster and parquet reads as defiance: soft against hard, organic against perfect. It is the reason the piece registers as sculpture rather than furniture.
- Where should the Owl Chair be placed in a living room?
- Turned away from the room, angled toward a window or a corner. The chair is designed to face out of the conversation, so it should sit at the edge of a space with light behind it and clear floor around it.
